THOR x NeuroBench Challenge 2026
Advancing neuromorphic spiking algorithms on open BCI benchmarks
The Neuromorphic Commons (THOR) in collaboration with NeuroBench launched the THOR x NeuroBench Challenge 2026, a worldwide competition designed to accelerate the development and rigorous evaluation of neuromorphic spiking algorithms.
Phase-I of the challenge focuses on brain-computer interface (BCI) applications, utilizing the OpenBMI motor imagery EEG dataset (EEG-MI). Participants submit neuromorphic models tested across standard metrics including classification accuracy, synaptic operation counts, and runtime energy efficiency using the NeuroBench evaluation framework.
